Player Expectations
Player Expectations
We are proud of our Quick Styx Lacrosse players because you live up to the very basic but very important expectations that we ask of you. We expect that you will:
- Be present. Lacrosse is a team sport, and we need our players to show up at practices and games, ready to learn, play, and support their teammates. We ask that you are present for at least 75% of all practices during the season and as many games as possible. Your teammates are counting on you.
- Be respectful of others. Be respectful of your coaches, because they are giving you the benefit of their time and experience in order to make you a better player and person. Be respectful of your teammates; they are trying their best and they deserve the same from you. Be respectful of the other team: without them, you wouldn't have any chance to compete and challenge yourself. And be respectful of the referees; they are doing their best to keep the game safe and fair for all players.
- Engage in good sportsmanship. Play by the rules. Play a good, clean game. Don't take advantage of any loopholes or calls the referees may not be making.
In short, be known for the good that you do, not the bad.
